Starting on January 5, 2026, Bearcubs email addresses now appear for SRJC students in Canvas. The Bearcubs email address replaces the personal email address from SRJC's Student Portal, which had previously been sent into Canvas from the Student Portal.
Bearcubs Email Accounts
All SRJC students are assigned Bearcubs email addresses. Each student is encouraged to request access to their Bearcubs email account through this form. Students should use their college email to get the latest information from instructors and staff at SRJC.

Email and Notification Settings in Canvas
Secondary Email
In addition to their Bearcubs email, students can add a secondary email address in Canvas if they wish.

Default Email
If students choose to have more than one email in Canvas, they can choose which will be their Default email (indicated by a Star icon). This determines which email receives messages sent by teachers using the Canvas Inbox.
