Purpose
Libretexts is an open access textbook delivery and creation platform.
The "Libreverse" includes a wide variety of tools enabling instructors to both create their own textbooks and homework assignments, and adopt or remix materials created by others. All LibreTexts tools can be integrated with Canvas.
Description
LibreTexts has three main features:
- Open Access Textbook Libraries: The LibreTexts Commons houses 17 subject areas and 2000 textbooks. Adopt a textbook, remix, or create one with LibreTexts authoring tools. LibreTexts can be provided to students via Canvas, weblinks, file downloads, or at-cost hard copy.
- Interactive Textbooks: LibreTexts enables instructors to embed questions, videos, and activities into textbooks, creating a more interactive experience for the student.
- ADAPT Homework Creation Tool: With ADAPT you can create or adopt assignments and activities to complement your textbooks. ADAPT is designed to provide an adaptive learning experience with its learning trees. ADAPT also enables you to create complex questions using H5P, IMathAS or WebWork.
